Face-to-Face Conversation with U-Reporters about Child-Related Issues, Including Female Genital Mutilation in The Gambia. The event also features the presence of Omar Bah and Fatou Bojang from the National Youth Council of The Gambia.
Mamadou A. H. Bah the U-Report focal person at UNICEF Gambia led this interesting session with support from Omar Bah and Fatou Bojang of The Gambia's National Youth Council.
Mr. Bah took attendees of how to use the platform during the session and highlighted clear instructions on how to become a U-Reporter.
A few of the participants also had the chance to discuss their own experiences as U-Reporters and emphasize the areas in which it had been useful. One of the named Kassamanding mentioned she joined U-Report in 2022 and has since been responding to polls while learning through that and “the most interesting poll was on unemployment”.
Participants that were not registered had the chance to be onboarded onto the platform led by Ms Fatou Bojang of NYC.
The task of identifying methods of advocacy plans to entice others to participate in this effort was given to participants from various places around The Gambia.
